Tega Tula is one of the first coffees we sourced as a new roaster a few years ago and now it is back and just as amazing as we remembered!

Tega Tula is located in the forests of the heart of Kaffa, the south western part of Ethiopia. The farm was established to plant, produce and deliver high quality coffee to the market in 2000. This coffee has been hand picked and put on drying tables immediately. Tega Tula has its own nursery to plant coffee seedlings.

At Tega Tula, there are about 50 to 60 people permanently employed. Up to 1000 people come to pick during the harvest season. There is housing for the permanent workers and there is a shelter for the seasonal workers. The farm also employs a nurse and there is a clinic room where the workers can go to. If the nurse is not able to help, the patients will be sent to a nearby government clinic. For the children there is government school about 2 kilometers from the farm and there is currently a new school under construction (at the farm site).
